Good warriors know where to stand, and where (and when) to move. They control the killing ground, which allows DPS classes to concentrate fire on single targets, and lets healers concentrate their healing on just one or two people.
If you don't understand that, warrior or non-warrior alike, you fail.

I think that might explain why alot of the warriors that i played with failed at tanking, because they think they are the most easy class to play...
I'm not saying that playing a warrior is hard, because it isn't, but almost all the warriors tankers in my slaver's/DoA/Uw groups didn't know how to pull properly and didn't know were to stand, i've played with elementalists, dervishes and even ritualists tankers, and usually they knew what to do better than the warriors...

Well, Warrior is great and all, but ive had some of the most fun with a dervish. Dervish are so fun to use because of avatars and they are plain awesome. If you play war, be sure you have 1 mil of gold cause that will be empty when you finish playing with him...

No. They failed because they were tanking.

True. Warriors should be knocking out high DPS, not 'tanking'.

Honestly if you like your Necro that much, and you want to replay the game just do it in HM.
Opinions differ on how hard hard mode actually is, but at least it's more fun than nm.
If you're not interested in HM because it's too much of a bother, you'll probably enjoy playing a warrior, as you can play it without paying a whole lot of attention and still not screw it up (in pve nm anyways)

Back from OT:
Wild idea: make lowbie necro in Nf and/or Factions and play them till you hit L20.
Those early areas offer a lot of content that you possibly didnt experience as necro (or at all) already.

WARNING ONLY FOR EXP PLAYERS. THIS IS A PRO BUILD AND WILL TAKE SOME MASTERING
try dervish with these skills:
D/A way of perfection, shroud of distress, mystic regen, mystic vigor, victorious sweep, mystic sweep and rez sig..
for your elite you could use vow of silence (but monks wiill hate you even though you heal yourself up to 150 per enemy within scythe range with each hit) or any avatar, i preffered dwayna.
if you use vow of silence you can time it where you can maintain all enchants whilst being immune to casters, i like using it to interupt their spells also
bare in mind you will need 30+energy.. if you can get good at swapping between vamp, zealous and armor penetraing scythes you will have a lot of fun, especially in RA. i was accused of hacking many times when no one could hit me because of shroud of distress and i was immune to spells :P
scythe mastery=15/16
earth prayers=8
mysticism=9
shadow arts=5
watch out for mesmers with sig of midnight, man i rage when i see mesmers...i mean like....RAAAAAAGE
Also shattering assault from assassins, these are the only skill swhich will hurt this build
also you could swap mystic sweep for cripple sweep since it got nerfed

When you don't have played anythign of GW yet in hardmode, then you don't really played GW yet imo.
NM is for Noobs, if you keep anythign of yourself, you play through all Campaigns and EotN in Hard Mode, then you will be sure that you will have enough gameplay experience for any Elite Area, especially when you do all of it without Ursan.
You want to replay, do everything in GW in Hard Mode, there is your replay.
But when you just want to replay NM with a new cheacter, I suggest you Elementalist, Monk or Ritualist, but Ranger is also very nice
Also you will get some titles ,that you will receive only through hardmode.
Don't you want to collect titles with your main Chara ? Alone collecting them gives you enough to do with your Main

Much as I loved Guild Wars over the years, I never really found it to have that much replay value. Low level cap, limit therefore to monster level cap, easy to obtain max items, rare items simply being alt skins, etc. Great concept and we all loved it, but it really was never intended to be a PvE game. Most of the fun I had in GW instead revolved around who I was playing with, and then the occasional sets of new content and to explore and skills to obtain.
If one is going to return after a long hiatus, I too would suggest hard mode. After a "retirement" spell I came back and pursued Legendary Guardian (pre Ursan and consumables) and loved it. Simply loved it. Really the only title I can say that for. There was nostalgia in going back to some missions I hadnt been to for some time, there was a little more challenge. There was simply something to do. Helps of course I had someone great to pursue it with as well.
Maybe make a new character and go all the way through all that, though I'm not sure you need to go that far. Simply take your favorite and move through obtaining Legendary Guardian is my advice.
I very much do not agree with this though:

Agree on the replay value, especially if you've been playing since beta like many of us. Nowadays I log on 2-3x/week and can't stomach PvEing for longer than an hour, so I'll never be able to spread out the accomplishments across my 9 characters in time for GW2. Utlimately, my goal is to try and get a decent HoM for my main and then just casual PvP from there on out.
Right now I'd suggest trying other games instead. I just bought Crysis for $17.99 and am looking forward to some more adrenaline + fast-twitch action than what I'm used to.

Try a Paragon they are underrated. Ive got 5 level 20s and Paragon is my favourite (just got koabd with him).
You don't need to use the Imbagon build and its a lot of grinding to get Save yourselves(i never did).

The Imbagon party wide protection can be replicated to some degree without SY!
3X attack skills (lightning spear, burning spear, blank)
Focused Anger
Anthem of Flame
They're on Fire!
TNTF!
AR or rez
As long as things burn, you win. Just aggro as much as allowed, keep everyone in range, and the red bars rarely drop. Couple with an earth warder, bars never drop.
Anyways back on-topic...para own forget necros.

If your choosing between Dervish, Warrior, or Mesmer. Then I suggest you go Dervish. Warrior got extremely boring, Mesmer is fun in PvP, and Dervish is just great to play. My idea to fun is to have a class in each group. You don't want to play a Rit and be bored since you already played Necro, you want something totally different that will keep your interest when you get bored of the other. You should give Dervish a try for sure, I had a good time playing it.
